y-intercept of a line

This Wizard is used to find the intercept of a line with the y-axis.

 

It can be accessed by clicking on Wizard Button | Line | y-intercept of a line.

 

To find the intercept:

  • Enter the equation of the line.
  • Click on the "Solve Step" button to see the next step or "Solve all" button to see all steps.

 

hint2 If you need an explanation for any particular step, click on the step and then click on the "Explain" button.

 

hint2 The equation of the line must be an equation only containing variables named "x" and "y"; for example: "y = 2x + 3" or "2y - x - 1 = 0".
