This wizard is used to divide two polynomials by using the synthetic division procedure.

It can be accessed by clicking on Wizard Button | Polynomials | Synthetic division.

To divide the polynomials:

  • Enter the first polynomial (dividend).
  • Press the right key or click on the space-holder.
  • Enter the second polynomial (divisor).
  • Press "Solve Step" or "Solve All" button to see the solution process.

hint2 If you need an explanation for any particular step, click on the step and then click on the "Explain" button.

hint2 Make certain that the divisor is a linear polynomial (degree=1), and the dividend has degree greater than 1 and a constant coefficient (for example: "x+a" or "x-a").
